I also make sugar plaques which are especially suitable for very creamy cakes.
Everything is painted with food colors little details are added with royal icing or chocolate.
When the plaque is dry it is very easy to add on the cake just before serving your cake.

For these towers we used rice crispie treats for the walls. The top is made with weetos cereal melted together with chocolate. Walls are covered with fondant and detail is freehand piped with Belgian chocolate and hand made sugar creatures.
